Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, an American producer stage and screen actress best recognized for her roles in films on the film Ray Undercover Brother and on the tv show The Mentalist. She received an undergraduate degree in African-American Studies at Brown University and also a Master of Fine Arts in Acting from the Tisch School for the Arts New York University. Aunjanue Ellis is an American actor and producer working in theater, film and TV. Her stage debut was in the year 2000 and then appeared in independent, mainstream as well as television shows. She was known for appearing in the role of Miranda Shaw (ABC's Quantico) and on BET's massive The Book of Negroes. The two series garnered praise from critics, and she also received a number of prizes. In 1995, she made her debut as Ariel on the stage as Ariel in The Tempest. Apart from the Broadway production Come and Gone, she is also credited in Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. With regards to her film career, her best-known roles include Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express The Help. In the world of television, her character on ABC's drama about police High Incident is well known.
